About Us

Annapurna Guest House Pvt. Ltd. (AGH) was established in 1980 by Mr. Kishor K. Thapa and Mrs. Saraswoti Thapa (Rita). It is owned and run by a friendly Thapa family. Now it’s managed and run by their son Mr. Manjit Thapa along with family. AGH is located in the northern part of Thamel (main tourist area). It has perhaps the best kind of location that a hotel could have in any tourist district. AGH enjoys the twin advantage of being out of earshot of the noise but within two minutes walking distance of all the action.

AGH is a leisure place for the travellers, trekkers, climbers, rafters, cyclists, volunteers and writers. As you step into our spacious reception you are greeted with a genuine smile. The Reception and the Lobby have a large and airy space with comfortable sofas where guests can sit and enjoy a meaningful discussion. This part of AGH always has guests who like the share the experiences that they have gathered on their travel. Around all the time are the daily newspapers, the latest travel guide and travel journals, so that guests can keep in touch and have total information about Nepal.

AGH has 20 comfortable, neat & clean rooms with modern facilities. AGH, in order to please a wide variety of tourists, offers Deluxe, Standard and Economic (Budget) rooms.

The AGH’s Restaurant & Bar on the rooftop serves a variety of cuisines from Continental, Chinese, and Indian to traditional dishes of Nepal.  We have a beautiful Rooftop Garden with a variety of flowers and green plants, which make you feel close to the nature while you relax under the open sky. It is a beautiful viewpoint to gaze the hills around the valley, the entire Kathmandu valley itself and one of the UNESCO world Heritage site “Swayambunath Stupa” (Monkey Temple).
